====== KeexyBox - Connect devices ======

By default a device can be connected to the Internet only if its user has authenticated to the [[using_connect|KeexyBox's captive portal]]. However, if you have to connect devices such as a voice assistant or IP camera, you will need to connect them to the Internet without using the captive portal.

Before permanently connecting devices to the Internet, you must declare them to KeexyBox by following the instructions described on this [[devices_manage#declare_devices_of_your_network_to_keexybox|topic]].

==== Connect a single device to the Internet ====

  - Check if the device you want to connect is powered on and online on the local network.
  - Use your browser and connect to the [[using_admin_access|KeexyBox Management Web interface]].
  - On left menu, go to ''Connection settings -> Devices''.
  - Identify in the list the device you wish to connect to the Internet.
  - In action column, click on the ''Connect'' button {{:keexybox_ico:play.png?nolink}} to connect the device.

==== Connect multiple devices to the Internet ====

  - Check if devices you want to connect are powered on and online on the local network.
  - Use your browser and connect to the [[using_admin_access|KeexyBox Management Web interface]].
  - On left menu, go to ''Connection settings -> Devices''.
  - In the list, check the box to the left of the name of each of the devices to be connected.
  - At the bottom of the page, in the selection menu ''(select action)'', select the option ''Connect''.
  - Click on ''Run'' to confirm the action.
