KeexyBox - Profiles - Manage domain routing

Domain routing allows you to define exceptions to the default connection type of the profile.

If, for example, the connection type of the profile is set to Tor by default, here you can add domains or websites to reach without going through the Tor network. Conversely, if the connection type of the profile is set to Direct by default, here you can add domains or websites to be reached by the Tor network.

When you make changes to the domain routing as decribed below, you will need to reload the profile.

List domain routing

  1. Use your browser and connect to the KeexyBox Management Web interface.
  2. On left menu, go to Connection settings → Profiles.
  3. Identify in the list the profile you wish add domain routing.
  4. Click on .
  5. The Domain routing page will open in a new window.

Add domain routing

  1. At the top left of the Domain routing page, click on , click on .
  2. You will be redirected to a new form to complete as follow:
    • Insert multiple domains or websites line per line or seperated by a space on the text area.
    • Overwrite already existing addresses: Check this box if the routing must be overwritten for the domains which already have a routing defined in this profile.
    • Enable routing: Uncheck this box if you want the route inactive.
    • Connection type: Choose if you want domains or websites to be reachable directly (Direct) or through the anonymity network (Tor).

When you are done, click on Save otherwise click on Cancel.

Modify a domain route

  1. Identify in the list the domaine/website you wish to modify.
  2. Click on Edit button.
  3. You will be redirected to the edit form to complete as follow:
    • Address: Change the name of the domain/website
    • Enable routing: Uncheck this box if you want the route to be inactive otherwise check it.
    • Connection type: Choose if you want the domain/website to be reachable directly (Direct) or through the anonymity network (Tor).

When you are done, click on Save otherwise click on Cancel.

Delete a domain route

  1. Identify in the list the domaine/website you wish to delete.
  2. In Action column, click on trash button.
  3. You will get a message asking you to confirm the deletion. Answer yes.

Bulk actions

Bulk actions allows you to massively doing actions on domain routing.

In the list of domain routing:

  1. Check boxes to the left of domain names.
  2. At the bottom of the page, on the selection menu (select action), choose one of the available actions.
  3. Click on Run to confirm the action.

The available actions are discribed below.

  • Disable: This action allows you to disable the route of all selected domains.
  • Enable: This action allows you to enable the route of all selected domains.
  • Copy to a profile: This action allows you to copy selected domain routing to another profile.
  • Change connection type: This action allows you to make selected domains reachable directly (Direct) or through the anonymity network (Tor).
  • Delete: This action allows you to delete the route of selected domains.

Reload the profile to refresh the routing table

In the list of domain routing, click on . This action will reload all network rules of the profile.
